Firefighters from Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to the 100 block of Obrecht Rd. for a reported dwelling fire. Anne Arundel County Fire Alarm began receiving multiple 911 calls from the occupant and passerby's reporting the fire. First arriving firefighters reported heavy smoke from the front of the dwelling and heavy fire conditions in the back of the single family home modified into two separate occupancies. The fire was brought under control in approximately 35 minutes. One occupant had minor injuries and was evaluated by paramedics but refused transport. There were no smoke detectors in the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation members of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit.
